Each course is staggered like brickwork for strength and fixed with heavy-duty timber screws or steel rods so the bed stays rigid as soil pushes against it. For taller beds and retaining walls, we add posts or extra anchoring to handle the weight of soil and water, and we'll advise if a retaining wall needs a more substantial design or sits on a shared boundary. We can line the inside with a breathable membrane to help protect the timber, add drainage at the base, and fill the beds with quality topsoil and compost so they're ready to plant.
