Local Construction Company in Exeter

J&J Contractors started with two best mates, Jay and Joshua, and a shared belief that good building work should never come with a headache. Jay first picked up the tools at 17, learning the trade under an established local master craftsman. Those early years taught him that real craftsmanship goes beyond the finish on a wall or the line of a fence. It's about turning up when you say you will, keeping customers in the loop and leaving a home tidier than you found it. Today, with more than 25 years of combined experience between them, Jay and Joshua run a multi-trade team serving homeowners and businesses across Exeter, Topsham, Exmouth, Newton Abbot and the wider South Devon area.

Over two decades, we've grown into a genuine one-stop team for outdoor and indoor projects. Outside, that means featheredge fencing built to stand up to coastal weather in Teignmouth and Dawlish, natural stone and porcelain patios, and resin bound, block paving and gravel driveways. Inside, we handle plastering and skimming, painting and decorating, damp proofing and insulation, including careful work on period properties in Exeter and Tiverton. Because one team manages the whole job, from excavating the ground for a new driveway to the final coat of paint, you deal with the same faces from start to finish. No juggling subcontractors and no passing the buck, just direct accountability for every part of your project.

We believe you should never have to compromise on reliability. Our team arrives on schedule, keeps you updated from the first free quote through to final sign-off, and leaves your property clean and tidy at the end of every working day. We're fully insured with £5 million public liability cover, so you're protected while we're on site. And because we're confident in our materials and workmanship, every project we take on is backed by our full 10-year written guarantee. Whether you're in Sidmouth, Torquay, Paignton, Brixham, Crediton or Cullompton, we'd love to hear about your plans. Give Jay and Joshua a call on 07476 554105 for a free, no-obligation quote.
